No, sorry. The Best Licorice Ever is made in an independent licorice factory, not our own factory. Klepper & Klepper develop the recipe, and then the factory makes it. Should it be possible to give guided tours in future, we will inform you here.

If you are sensitive to it, consuming excessive amounts of licorice daily can cause high blood pressure and fluid retention. This is due to the substance glycyrrhizin.

Glycyrrhizin is usually broken down and eliminated by the body. However, if you eat lots of licorice every day you can get more glycyrrhizin in the body than it can remove. This in turn can lead to high blood pressure. Experts recommend consuming no more than 200 grams of licorice a day. Nb. This is an average; the amounts vary depending on the strength of the licorice.

If you already suffer from high blood pressure, do not eat licorice every day. The same goes for young children and pregnant women; enjoy licorice in moderation.

Licorice tastes like licorice because of the substance glycyrrhizin in the licorice root. Glycyrrhizin is a natural flavouring agent that is 50 times sweeter than granulated sugar. Glycyrrhizin is usually broken down and eliminated by the body. If you consume too much too often, it can cause your blood pressure to increase. See also the answer to the question above.

Not to worry. Just because your question isn’t listed doesn’t mean that we don’t have an answer. In fact, the question to which Klepper & Klepper don’t have an answer is yet to be invented. Not that our answers always make sense. We are happy to answer theoretical mathematics questions, but we doubt whether the answers will be correct.

Nevertheless, feel free to ask us any question you want. Send an email to info info@klepperenklepper.nl or go to our Facebook or Instagram page. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
